THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND BRAIDWOOD

There are many unique shops on the main street where you will find antiques, collectibles, art & craft. There are a variety of cafes to do coffee and read the paper. The Braidwood Markets are held on the 4th Saturday of each month in the park.

For sporty types, golf, bowls and squash are available at the local club. watch the local kids play soccer, or the local rugby union or league teams on a Saturday.

For the more adventurous, there is great bushwalking, motorbike or mountain bike riding, and four wheel driving in the surrounding National Parks. There is also fishing, swimming or canoeing in the surrounding rivers.

Country pub enthusiasts can crawl in any direction to pubs including The Majors Creek Hotel, set in an old gold mining village 15 minutes from braidwood. This is also a good area for gold fossicking.
